1,765. Women Who Are Presumed to Resent One Another
Hilchos Geirushin 7:3
The following are the women who are presumed to resent one another: A mother-in-law, a mother-in-law’s daughter, another wife of the same man even if she has subsequently married someone else, a sister-in-law even if they’re also sisters, and a daughter from her husband’s marriage with another woman. All other women are considered trustworthy.
Hilchos Geirushin 7:4
If a man is delivering a get from one place to another within Israel but he gets sick or is otherwise prevented from completing his task due to circumstances beyond his control, he can send the get with a second agent. Similarly, if the second agent falls ill, he can send it with a third agent. One could potentially use even 100 agents. The agent need not appoint the second agent in front of witnesses. The last agent should give the get in front of two witnesses and divorce is effected. This is the case even if the original agent dies.
