1,750. An Agent for Delivery or Retrieval

Hilchos Geirushin 6:3

A man cannot appoint an agent to accept a get for his wife but he can appoint an agent to deliver a get to his wife. This agent is called the agent of delivery.

Hilchos Geirushin 6:4

Similarly, a woman may appoint an agent to go get the get from her husband. This agent is called the retrieving agent. Neither a delivery agent nor a retrieval agent requires appointment in front of witnesses.
