Uktzin 3:9-10

Uktzin 3:9

The fat of a kosher animal is not considered unclean with carrion impurity; because of this, it must be rendered susceptible to impurity. The fat of a non-kosher animal is considered unclean with carrion impurity so it need not be rendered susceptible. Regarding non-kosher fish and non-kosher locusts, intention is required in villages (to render them susceptible).

Uktzin 3:10

Rabbi Eliezer says that a beehive is treated like real estate, one can write a prozbul based on it, it’s insusceptible to impurity in its place, and one who scrapes honey from it on Shabbos must bring a sin offering. The Sages say it’s not treated like real estate, one many not write a prozbul based on it, it’s susceptible to impurity even in its place, and one who scrapes honey from it on Shabbos is exempt.
