3,278. If the Kohein's Daughter Who Married a Non-Kohein is Divorced or Widowed

Terumos 6:8

A woman of kohanic descent who married a Yisroel may eat terumah after her Israelite husband dies or divorces her so long as he didn’t leave any children from her. This is based on Leviticus 22:13: “If the daughter of a kohein is widowed or divorced without children and returns to her father’s home as in her youth, she may eat the bread of her father” (i.e., terumah).

Terumos 6:9

Our oral tradition teaches that “bread” in the verse just cited is not all-inclusive; the woman may resume eating terumah, but not the breast and thigh of peace offerings.
