(מד) וַיָּבֹ֣א מֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיְדַבֵּ֛ר אֶת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵ֥י הַשִּׁירָֽה־הַזֹּ֖את בְּאׇזְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם ה֖וּא וְהוֹשֵׁ֥עַ בִּן־נֽוּן׃ (מה) וַיְכַ֣ל מֹשֶׁ֗ה לְדַבֵּ֛ר אֶת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה אֶל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (מו) וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֲלֵהֶם֙ שִׂ֣ימוּ לְבַבְכֶ֔ם לְכׇ֨ל־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָנֹכִ֛י מֵעִ֥יד בָּכֶ֖ם הַיּ֑וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר תְּצַוֻּם֙ אֶת־בְּנֵיכֶ֔ם לִשְׁמֹ֣ר לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת אֶת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵ֖י הַתּוֹרָ֥ה הַזֹּֽאת׃ (מז) כִּ֠י לֹֽא־דָבָ֨ר רֵ֥ק הוּא֙ מִכֶּ֔ם כִּי־ה֖וּא חַיֵּיכֶ֑ם וּבַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֗ה תַּאֲרִ֤יכוּ יָמִים֙ עַל־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר אַתֶּ֜ם עֹבְרִ֧ים אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּ֛ן שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ {פ}
(מד) וַאֲתָא משֶׁה וּמַלִּיל יָת כָּל פִּתְגָּמֵי תֻשְׁבַּחְתָּא הָדָא קֳדָם עַמָּא הוּא וְהוֹשֵׁעַ בַּר נוּן: (מה) וְשֵׁצִי משֶׁה לְמַלָּלָא יָת כָּל פִּתְגָּמַיָּא הָאִלֵּין עִם כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל: (מו) וַאֲמַר לְהוֹן שַׁוּוּ לִבְּכוֹן לְכָל פִּתְגָּמַיָּא דִי אֲנָא מַסְהֵד בְּכוֹן יוֹמָא דֵין דִּי תְפַקְּדֻנּוּן יָת בְּנֵיכוֹן לְמִטַּר לְמֶעְבַּד יָת כָּל פִּתְגָּמֵי אוֹרַיְתָא הָדָא: (מז) אֲרֵי לָא פִתְגָּם רֵקָא הוּא מִנְּכוֹן אֲרֵי הוּא חַיֵּיכוֹן וּבְפִתְגָּמָא הָדֵין תּוֹרְכוּן יוֹמִין עַל אַרְעָא דִּי אַתּוּן עָבְרִין יָת יַרְדְּנָא תַּמָּן לְמֵירְתַהּ:
44. Moshe came and he spoke all the words of this praise before the people – he and Hosea son of Nun. 45. Moshe finished speaking all these words with all Israel; 46. he said to them, “Place your hearts to all the words that I have testified among you today. Command your children to observe to perform all the words of this Torah. 47. Because this is not an empty thing for you, because it is your life, and in this matter you will lengthen your days on the land that you cross the Jordan there to inherit.”
(מח) וַיְדַבֵּ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה בְּעֶ֛צֶם הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ (מט) עֲלֵ֡ה אֶל־הַר֩ הָעֲבָרִ֨ים הַזֶּ֜ה הַר־נְב֗וֹ אֲשֶׁר֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מוֹאָ֔ב אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־פְּנֵ֣י יְרֵח֑וֹ וּרְאֵה֙ אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֲנִ֥י נֹתֵ֛ן לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לַאֲחֻזָּֽה׃ (נ) וּמֻ֗ת בָּהָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ עֹלֶ֣ה שָׁ֔מָּה וְהֵאָסֵ֖ף אֶל־עַמֶּ֑יךָ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר־מֵ֞ת אַהֲרֹ֤ן אָחִ֙יךָ֙ בְּהֹ֣ר הָהָ֔ר וַיֵּאָ֖סֶף אֶל־עַמָּֽיו׃ (נא) עַל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר מְעַלְתֶּ֜ם בִּ֗י בְּתוֹךְ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בְּמֵֽי־מְרִיבַ֥ת קָדֵ֖שׁ מִדְבַּר־צִ֑ן עַ֣ל אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־קִדַּשְׁתֶּם֙ אוֹתִ֔י בְּת֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (נב) כִּ֥י מִנֶּ֖גֶד תִּרְאֶ֣ה אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְשָׁ֙מָּה֙ לֹ֣א תָב֔וֹא אֶל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֥י נֹתֵ֖ן לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ {פ}
(מח) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה בִּכְרַן יוֹמָא הָדֵין לְמֵימָר: (מט) סַק לְטוּרָא דַעֲבָרָאֵי הָדֵין טוּרָא דִנְבוֹ דִּי בְאַרְעָא דְמוֹאָב דִּי עַל אַפֵּי יְרֵחוֹ וַחֲזֵי יָת אַרְעָא דִכְנַעַן דִּי אֲנָא יָהֵב לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְאַחֲסָנָא: (נ) וּמוּת בְּטוּרָא דִּי אַתּ סָלֵק לְתַמָּן וְתִתְכְּנֵשׁ לְעַמָּךְ כְּמָא דְמִית אַהֲרן אֲחוּךְ בְּהוֹר טוּרָא וְאִתְכְּנִישׁ לְעַמֵּיהּ: (נא) עַל דִּי שַׁקַּרְתּוּן בְּמֵימְרִי בְּגוֹ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּמֵי מַצּוּת רְקָם מַדְבְּרָא דְצִן עַל דִּי לָא קַדִּשְׁתּוּן יָתִי בְּגוֹ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: (נב) אֲרֵי מִקֳּבֵל תֶּחֱזֵי יָת אַרְעָא וּלְתַמָּן לָא תֵעוּל לְאַרְעָא דִּי אֲנָא יָהֵב לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל:
48. Hashem spoke with Moshe at the fullness of that day, saying, 49. “Ascend to this mountain of crossings,[1] Mount N’vo, which is in the land of Moav that is on the face of Jericho; see the land of Canaan that I give to the children of Israel as a possession. 50. You will die on the mountain that you ascend there, and you will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aharon died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people; 51. because you[2] acted falsely against My word among the children of Israel at the waters of contention of R’kam[3] (in) the wilderness of Tzin, because you didn’t sanctify Me among the children of Israel. 52. Because you will view the land from opposite (it), and there you shall not come in – to the land that I give to the children of Israel.”
[1] Rather than treating “Avarim” as a proper noun, Onkelos translates it into Aramaic.
[2] “You” is in the plural form, referring to both Moshe and Aharon.
[3] Rather than “Kadeish.”
