2,916. Where the Nazir Shaves
Hilchos Nezirus 8:3
The nazir shaves his hair in the women’s courtyard, in the chamber of nazirites, which was in its southeast corner. That’s where they cooked their peace offerings and threw their hair into the fire. If a nazir shaved outside the Temple, he has fulfilled his obligation. A nazir throws his hair under the pot regardless of whether he shaves inside or outside the Temple. He doesn’t shave until the entrance to the courtyard opens, as per Numbers 6:18, “at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.” This doesn’t mean that he should shave in front of the entrance to the courtyard because that would be disgraceful to the Temple.
Hilchos Nezirus 8:4
Next, the kohein takes the roasted foreleg of the ram, plus one matzah and one wafer from the basket, and he puts them on the palm of the male or female nazir and waves them. After this, the nazir is allowed to drink wine and to be rendered unclean through corpse impurity.
