2,915. Shaving in Purity
Hilchos Nezirus 8:1
Shaving in purity is as follows: when a nazir completes his nezirus, he brings three animals – a male lamb for a burnt offering, a female lamb for a sin offering and a ram for a peace offering. If he brought three animals but didn’t indicate which was for which offering, the one that’s suitable for a sin offering is brought as a sin offering, the one that’s suitable for a burnt offering is offered as a burnt offering and the one that’s suitable for a peace offering is offered as a peace offering. He brings 6.66 isarons (a dry measure) of fine flour with the ram for the peace offering. He bakes 20 loaves from it: ten loaves of matzah and ten of matzah wafers. He pours a reviis (a little more than three ounces) of oil over the loaves. This volume is a law that was communicated to Moses at Sinai. The 20 loaves are brought in one vessel.
Hilchos Nezirus 8:2
The sin offering is slaughtered first, followed by the burnt offering, and finally the peace offering. After that, the nazir shaves; if he shaved after bringing the sin offering or the burnt offering, he has fulfilled his obligation. He then cooks or boils the peace offering. He take some of the sauce of the peace offering and puts it on his hair. After that, he puts the hair under the pot in which the peace offering is cooking. If he put the hair under the pot containing the sin offering, he has fulfilled his obligation.
