2,382. Prohibited Wine
Maachalos Assuros 11:2
Wine poured as a libation to an idol is like a sacrifice offered to it. Since this prohibition is based on the prohibition against idolatry, there is no minimum volume required as per Deuteronomy 13:18, “Let no trace of the condemned (property) cling to your hand.”
Maachalos Assuros 11:3
If we don’t know whether wine belonging to a non-Jew was used for a libation, it is called “their regular wine.” It is prohibited under rabbinic law to benefit from it just as it is prohibited to benefit from wine that was poured as a libation. If someone drinks a reviis (about 3.3 ounces) of their regular wine, he is liable for stripes for acting rebelliously.
