If a husband wants to provide his wife with sustenance appropriate for her on the condition that they take their meals separately, he has this prerogative so long as he eats together with her on Friday nights.
Hilchos Ishus 12:13
When a woman has been granted sustenance, any unused surplus belongs to her husband. If the husband is a kohein, he may not provide all of her sustenance from trumah because of the difficulty involved in safeguarding trumah from ritual impurity and eating it in a state of ritual cleanliness. Rather, he gives her half of her sustenance from regular food and half from trumah.
