Human Corruption and its Consequences (part 1)
ויהי כי החל האדם לרב על פני האדמה ובנות ילדו להם ב ויראו בני האלהים את בנות האדם כי טבת הנה ויקחו להם נשים מכל אשר בחרו. ויאמר יהוה לא ידון רוחי באדם לעולם בשגם הוא בשר והיו ימיו מאה ועשרים שנה. הנפלים היו בארץ בימים ההם וגם אחרי כן אשר יבואו בני האלהים אל בנות האדם וילדו להם המה הגיבורים אשר מעולם אנשי השם
Who are the בני אלוהים, בנות האדם, and the נפילים? What was their sin?
פרקי דרבי אליעזר says בני האלוהים are the descendants of Kayin (who was conceived in Gan Eden) and בנות האדם are the descendants of שת who was conceived after the expulsion from Gan Eden.
The Torah is describing a full separation between God and Man. Society wanted to construct its own laws and morality devoid of God. There will always be בני אלוהים and בנות האדם - the haves and the have nots - those who inherit it and those who work for it. We are meant to change the poisonous relationship between the two. The question is how do you use your power.
