Humanity’s Challenges: Bereshit Until Today (part 6)
For Kayin, the misery of being a murderer was a punishment in itself. The Malbim deals with whether Hashem expected Kayin to know that murder is wrong (or its severity) if it had never been committed before. After he realizes that the ground was cursed because of him he builds on the land (he builds a city).
Rav Hirsch discusses the significance of city-living and agricultural-based settlements.
What happens to Kayin after he settles to the east of Eden? (The Torah doesn't tell us explicitly).
