240. Reciting Shema In Another Language, Out of Order
Kriyas Shema 2:10
One may recite Shema in any language that he understands. If he does recite it in a different language, he must be as careful with his pronunciation as in Hebrew.
Kriyas Shema 2:11
One who recites the verses of Shema out of order does not fulfill his obligation. If he changed the order of the paragraphs, even though this is not permitted, he does fulfill his obligation, because these sections are not adjacent in the Torah. It is improper to recite a verse and then to repeat it. If a person reads a word and repeats it, such as saying “Shema, Shema,” he should be told to stop.
