Garments are rendered unclean for two weeks based on three signs: a bright green color, a bright red color or spreading. A bright green or bright red color is at the outset, at the end of the first week, at the end of the second week or after being released; spreading is at the end of the first week, at the end of the second week or after being released. It is rendered unclean for two weeks that are 13 days.

Negaim 3:8

Houses are rendered unclean for three weeks based on three signs: a bright green color, a bright red color or spreading. A bright green or bright red color is at the outset, at the end of the first week, at the end of the second week, at the end of the third week or after being declared clean; spreading is at the end of the first week, at the end of the second week, at the end of the third week or after being declared clean. It is rendered unclean for three weeks that are 19 days. None of the signs of negaim are for less than a week or more than three weeks.
