(כו) רְאֵ֗ה אָנֹכִ֛י נֹתֵ֥ן לִפְנֵיכֶ֖ם הַיּ֑וֹם בְּרָכָ֖ה וּקְלָלָֽה׃ (כז) אֶֽת־הַבְּרָכָ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּשְׁמְע֗וּ אֶל־מִצְוֺת֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָנֹכִ֛י מְצַוֶּ֥ה אֶתְכֶ֖ם הַיּֽוֹם׃ (כח) וְהַקְּלָלָ֗ה אִם־לֹ֤א תִשְׁמְעוּ֙ אֶל־מִצְוֺת֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם וְסַרְתֶּ֣ם מִן־הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָנֹכִ֛י מְצַוֶּ֥ה אֶתְכֶ֖ם הַיּ֑וֹם לָלֶ֗כֶת אַחֲרֵ֛י אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־יְדַעְתֶּֽם׃ {ס}
(כו) חֲזֵי דִּי אֲנָא יָהֵב קֳדָמֵיכוֹן יוֹמָא דֵין בִּרְכָן וּלְוָטִין: (כז) יָת בִּרְכָן דִּי תְקַבְּלוּן לְפִקּוּדַיָּא דַּיְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן דִּי אֲנָא מְפַקֵּד יָתְכוֹן יוֹמָא דֵין: (כח) וּלְוָטַיָּא אִם לָא תְקַבְּלוּן לְפִקּוּדַיָּא דַיְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן וְתִסְטוּן מִן אָרְחָא דִּי אֲנָא מְפַקֵּד יָתְכוֹן יוֹמָא דֵין לִמְהַךְ בָּתַר טַעֲוַת עַמְמַיָּא דִּי לָא יְדַעְתּוּן:
26. See, I place before you today blessings and curses:[1] 27. the blessings, that you accept the commandments of Hashem your God that I command you today, 28. and the curses, if you don’t accept the commandments of Hashem your God, and you turn from the path that I command you today, to walk after the errors of the nations,[2] whom you haven’t known.
(כט) וְהָיָ֗ה כִּ֤י יְבִֽיאֲךָ֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ אֶל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֥ה בָא־שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּ֑הּ וְנָתַתָּ֤ה אֶת־הַבְּרָכָה֙ עַל־הַ֣ר גְּרִזִ֔ים וְאֶת־הַקְּלָלָ֖ה עַל־הַ֥ר עֵיבָֽל׃ (ל) הֲלֹא־הֵ֜מָּה בְּעֵ֣בֶר הַיַּרְדֵּ֗ן אַֽחֲרֵי֙ דֶּ֚רֶךְ מְב֣וֹא הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ בְּאֶ֙רֶץ֙ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔י הַיֹּשֵׁ֖ב בָּעֲרָבָ֑ה מ֚וּל הַגִּלְגָּ֔ל אֵ֖צֶל אֵלוֹנֵ֥י מֹרֶֽה׃ (לא) כִּ֤י אַתֶּם֙ עֹבְרִ֣ים אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן לָבֹא֙ לָרֶ֣שֶׁת אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם נֹתֵ֣ן לָכֶ֑ם וִֽירִשְׁתֶּ֥ם אֹתָ֖הּ וִֽישַׁבְתֶּם־בָּֽהּ׃ (לב) וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֣ם לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת אֵ֥ת כׇּל־הַֽחֻקִּ֖ים וְאֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֑ים אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָנֹכִ֛י נֹתֵ֥ן לִפְנֵיכֶ֖ם הַיּֽוֹם׃
(כט) וִיהֵי אֲרֵי יְעֵלִנָּךְ יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לְאַרְעָא דִּי אַתְּ עָלֵל תַּמָּן לְמֵירְתַהּ וְתִתֵּן יָת מְבָרְכַיָּא עַל טוּרָא דִגְּרִזִּין וְיָת מְלַטְטַיָּא עַל טוּרָא דְעֵיבָל: (ל) הֲלָא אִנּוּן בְּעִבְרָא דְיַרְדְּנָא אֲחוֹרֵי אֹרַח מַעֲלָנֵי שִׁמְשָׁא בְּאַרְעָא כְּנַעֲנָאָה דְּיָתֵב בְּמֵישְׁרָא לָקֳבֵל גִּלְגְּלָא בִּסְטַר מֵישְׁרֵי מֹרֶה: (לא) אֲרֵי אַתּוּן עָבְרִין יָת יַרְדְּנָא לְמֵעַל לְמֵירַת יָת אַרְעָא דַּיְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן יָהֵב לְכוֹן וְתֵירְתוּן יָתַהּ וְתֵיתְבוּן בַּהּ: (לב) וְתִטְּרוּן לְמֶעְבַּד יָת כָּל קְיָמַיָּא וְיָת דִּינַיָּא דִּי אֲנָא יָהֵב קֳדָמֵיכוֹן יוֹמָא דֵין:
29. It will be when Hashem your God brings you in to the land in to which you come to inherit, you shall place the blessers on Mount Grizim and the cursers[3] on Mount Eival. 30. Behold, they are on the other side of the Jordan, beyond the way the sun comes (down),[4] in the land of the Canaanite(s) who dwell in the plain, opposite Gilgal, by the plains of Moreh. 31. Because you are crossing the Jordan to come in to inherit the land that Hashem your God gives to you. You will inherit it and you will settle in it. 32. Observe to perform all the statutes and the laws that I place before you today.
Chapter 12
(א) אֵ֠לֶּה הַֽחֻקִּ֣ים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּשְׁמְר֣וּן לַעֲשׂוֹת֒ בָּאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֩ נָתַ֨ן יְהֹוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֧י אֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ לְךָ֖ לְרִשְׁתָּ֑הּ כׇּ֨ל־הַיָּמִ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֥ם חַיִּ֖ים עַל־הָאֲדָמָֽה׃ (ב) אַבֵּ֣ד תְּ֠אַבְּד֠וּן אֶֽת־כׇּל־הַמְּקֹמ֞וֹת אֲשֶׁ֧ר עָֽבְדוּ־שָׁ֣ם הַגּוֹיִ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֛ם יֹרְשִׁ֥ים אֹתָ֖ם אֶת־אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם עַל־הֶהָרִ֤ים הָֽרָמִים֙ וְעַל־הַגְּבָע֔וֹת וְתַ֖חַת כׇּל־עֵ֥ץ רַעֲנָֽן׃ (ג) וְנִתַּצְתֶּ֣ם אֶת־מִזְבְּחֹתָ֗ם וְשִׁבַּרְתֶּם֙ אֶת־מַצֵּ֣בֹתָ֔ם וַאֲשֵֽׁרֵיהֶם֙ תִּשְׂרְפ֣וּן בָּאֵ֔שׁ וּפְסִילֵ֥י אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֖ם תְּגַדֵּע֑וּן וְאִבַּדְתֶּ֣ם אֶת־שְׁמָ֔ם מִן־הַמָּק֖וֹם הַהֽוּא׃ (ד) לֹֽא־תַעֲשׂ֣וּן כֵּ֔ן לַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃ (ה) כִּ֠י אִֽם־אֶל־הַמָּק֞וֹם אֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַ֨ר יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ מִכׇּל־שִׁבְטֵיכֶ֔ם לָשׂ֥וּם אֶת־שְׁמ֖וֹ שָׁ֑ם לְשִׁכְנ֥וֹ תִדְרְשׁ֖וּ וּבָ֥אתָ שָּֽׁמָּה׃ (ו) וַהֲבֵאתֶ֣ם שָׁ֗מָּה עֹלֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ וְזִבְחֵיכֶ֔ם וְאֵת֙ מַעְשְׂרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וְאֵ֖ת תְּרוּמַ֣ת יֶדְכֶ֑ם וְנִדְרֵיכֶם֙ וְנִדְבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וּבְכֹרֹ֥ת בְּקַרְכֶ֖ם וְצֹאנְכֶֽם׃ (ז) וַאֲכַלְתֶּם־שָׁ֗ם לִפְנֵי֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם וּשְׂמַחְתֶּ֗ם בְּכֹל֙ מִשְׁלַ֣ח יֶדְכֶ֔ם אַתֶּ֖ם וּבָתֵּיכֶ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר בֵּֽרַכְךָ֖ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ (ח) לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֔וּן כְּ֠כֹ֠ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֲנַ֧חְנוּ עֹשִׂ֛ים פֹּ֖ה הַיּ֑וֹם אִ֖ישׁ כׇּל־הַיָּשָׁ֥ר בְּעֵינָֽיו׃ (ט) כִּ֥י לֹא־בָאתֶ֖ם עַד־עָ֑תָּה אֶל־הַמְּנוּחָה֙ וְאֶל־הַֽנַּחֲלָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לָֽךְ׃ (י) וַעֲבַרְתֶּם֮ אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן֒ וִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֣ם בָּאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם מַנְחִ֣יל אֶתְכֶ֑ם וְהֵנִ֨יחַ לָכֶ֧ם מִכׇּל־אֹיְבֵיכֶ֛ם מִסָּבִ֖יב וִֽישַׁבְתֶּם־בֶּֽטַח׃
(א) אִלֵּין קְיָמַיָּא וְדִינַיָּא דִּי תִטְּרוּן לְמֶעְבַּד בְּאַרְעָא דִּיהַב יְיָ אֱלָהָא דַאֲבָהָתָךְ לָךְ לְמֵירְתַהּ כָּל יוֹמַיָּא דִּי אַתּוּן קַיָּמִין עַל אַרְעָא: (ב) אַבָּדָא תְאַבְּדוּן יָת כָּל אַתְרַיָּא דִּי פְלָחוּ תַמָּן עַמְמַיָּא דִּי אַתּוּן יָרְתִין יָתְהוֹן יָת טַעֲוָתְהוֹן עַל טוּרַיָּא רָמַיָּא וְעַל רָמָתָא וּתְחוֹת כָּל אִילַן עַבּוֹף: (ג) וּתְתָרְעוּן יָת אֱגוֹרֵיהוֹן וּתְתַבְּרוּן יָת קָמָתְהוֹן וַאֲשֵׁרֵיהוֹן תּוֹקְדוּן בְּנוּרָא וְצַלְמֵי טַעֲוָתְהוֹן תְּקוֹצְצוּן וְתוֹבְדוּן יָת שִׁמְהוֹן מִן אַתְרָא הַהוּא: (ד) לָא תַעְבְּדוּן כֵּן קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן: (ה) אֶלָּהֵן לְאַתְרָא דִּי יִתִּרְעֵי יְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן מִכָּל שִׁבְטֵיכוֹן לְאַשְׁרָאָה שְׁכִנְתֵּיהּ תַּמָּן לְבֵית שְׁכִנְתֵּיהּ תִּתְבְּעוּן וְתֵיתוּן לְתַמָּן: (ו) וְתַיְתוּן לְתַמָּן עֲלָוָתֵיכוֹן וְנִכְסַת קוּדְשֵׁיכוֹן וְיָת מַעְשְׂרָתֵיכוֹן וְיָת אַפְרָשׁוּת יֶדְכוֹן וְנִדְרֵיכוֹן וְנִדְבָתֵיכוֹן וּבְכוֹרֵי תוֹרְכוֹן וְעָנְכוֹן: (ז) וְתֵיכְלוּן תַּמָּן קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן וְתֶחֱדוּן בְּכֹל אוֹשָׁטוּת יֶדְכוֹן אַתּוּן וֶאֱנַשׁ בָּתֵּיכוֹן דִּי בָרְכָךְ יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ: (ח) לָא תַעְבְּדוּן כְּכֹל דִּי אֲנַחְנָא עָבְדִין הָכָא יוֹמָא דֵין גְּבַר כָּל מָן דְּכָשָׁר קֳדָמוֹהִי: (ט) אֲרֵי לָא אֲתֵיתוּן עַד כְּעָן לְבֵית נְיָחָא וּלְאַחֲסָנָא דַּיְיָ אֱלָהָךְ יָהֵב לָךְ: (י) וְתַעְבְּרוּן יָת יַרְדְּנָא וְתֵיתְבוּן בְּאַרְעָא דַּיְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן מַחֲסֵן יָתְכוֹן וִינִיחַ לְכוֹן מִכָּל בַּעֲלֵי דְבָבֵיכוֹן מִסְּחוֹר סְחוֹר וְתֵיתְבוּן לְרָחְצָן:
1. These are the statutes and the laws that you must observe to perform in the land that Hashem, God of your fathers, gave you to inherit, all the days that you live on the earth. 2. You shall surely destroy all the places at which the nations whom you are to drive out served their errors, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every leafy tree. 3. You shall demolish their piles,[5] you shall break their pillars, and you shall burn their asheiras[6] in fire, and the images[7] of their gods you shall cut down, and you shall eradicate their name from that place. 4. Do not do such before Hashem your God. 5. Rather, only the place that Hashem your God will favor from all your tribes to place His name there for it to dwell you shall seek and come there. 6. And there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your holiness sacrifices,[8] and your tithes and what is separated (by) your hands, and your vow (offering)s and your donations, and the first-born of your cattle and your sheep. 7. You shall eat there before Hashem your God, and you shall rejoice in all the sendings of your hands[9] – you and the members of your households with whom Hashem your God has blessed you. 8. Do not do like all that we do here today, a man (doing) all that is fit[10] in his eyes, 9. because you haven’t come until now to the resting place and to the inheritance that Hashem your God gives you. 10. You shall cross the Jordan and you shall settle in the land that Hashem your God bestows to you, and He grants you rest from all your enemies all around, and you will dwell securely.
