(כג) וְלֹ֤א תֵֽלְכוּ֙ בְּחֻקֹּ֣ת הַגּ֔וֹי אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֥י מְשַׁלֵּ֖חַ מִפְּנֵיכֶ֑ם כִּ֤י אֶת־כׇּל־אֵ֙לֶּה֙ עָשׂ֔וּ וָאָקֻ֖ץ בָּֽם׃ (כד) וָאֹמַ֣ר לָכֶ֗ם אַתֶּם֮ תִּֽירְשׁ֣וּ אֶת־אַדְמָתָם֒ וַאֲנִ֞י אֶתְּנֶ֤נָּה לָכֶם֙ לָרֶ֣שֶׁת אֹתָ֔הּ אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָ֑שׁ אֲנִי֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־הִבְדַּ֥לְתִּי אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִן־הָֽעַמִּֽים׃ (כה) וְהִבְדַּלְתֶּ֞ם בֵּֽין־הַבְּהֵמָ֤ה הַטְּהֹרָה֙ לַטְּמֵאָ֔ה וּבֵין־הָע֥וֹף הַטָּמֵ֖א לַטָּהֹ֑ר וְלֹֽא־תְשַׁקְּצ֨וּ אֶת־נַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶ֜ם בַּבְּהֵמָ֣ה וּבָע֗וֹף וּבְכֹל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּרְמֹ֣שׂ הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־הִבְדַּ֥לְתִּי לָכֶ֖ם לְטַמֵּֽא׃ (כו) וִהְיִ֤יתֶם לִי֙ קְדֹשִׁ֔ים כִּ֥י קָד֖וֹשׁ אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וָאַבְדִּ֥ל אֶתְכֶ֛ם מִן־הָֽעַמִּ֖ים לִהְי֥וֹת לִֽי׃ (כז) וְאִ֣ישׁ אֽוֹ־אִשָּׁ֗ה כִּֽי־יִהְיֶ֨ה בָהֶ֥ם א֛וֹב א֥וֹ יִדְּעֹנִ֖י מ֣וֹת יוּמָ֑תוּ בָּאֶ֛בֶן יִרְגְּמ֥וּ אֹתָ֖ם דְּמֵיהֶ֥ם בָּֽם׃ {פ}
(כג) וְלָא תְהָכוּן בְּנִימוֹסֵי עַמְמַיָּא דִּי אֲנָא מַגְלֵי מִן קֳדָמֵיכוֹן אֲרֵי יָת כָּל אִלֵּין עֲבָדוּ וְרָחִיק מֵימְרִי יָתְהוֹן: (כד) וַאֲמָרִית לְכוֹן אַתּוּן תִּירְתוּן יָת אַרְעֲהוֹן וַאֲנָא אֶתְּנִנַּהּ לְכוֹן לְמֵירַת יָתַהּ אַרְעָא עָבְדָא חֲלָב וּדְבָשׁ אֲנָא יְיָ אֱלָהָכוֹן דִּי אַפְרֵשִׁית יָתְכוֹן מִן עַמְמַיָּא: (כה) וְתַפְרְשׁוּן בֵּין בְּעִירָא דַכְיָא לִמְסָאָבָא וּבֵין עוֹפָא מְסָאָבָא לִדְכֵי וְלָא תְשַׁקְּצוּן יָת נַפְשָׁתֵיכוֹן בִּבְעִירָא וּבְעוֹפָא וּבְכֹל דִּי תַרְחֵשׁ אַרְעָא דִּי אַפְרֵשִׁית לְכוֹן לְסָאָבָא: (כו) וּתְהוֹן קֳדָמַי קַדִּישִׁין אֲרֵי קַדִּישׁ אֲנָא יְיָ וְאַפְרֵשִׁית יָתְכוֹן מִן עַמְמַיָּא לְמֶהֱוֵי פָלְחִין קֳדָמָי: (כז) וּגְבַר אוֹ אִתְּתָא אֲרֵי יְהֵי בְהוֹן בִּדִּין אוֹ דְּכוּר אִתְקְטָלָא יִתְקַטְּלוּן בְּאַבְנָא יִרְגְּמוּן יָתְהוֹן קְטָלָא חַיָּבִין:
23. And do not follow the practices of the nations[1] that I exile[2] from before you because they did all these (things) and My word was disgusted by them. 24. I said to you: You will inherit their land and I will give it to you to possess it – a land that generates milk and honey.[3] I am Hashem your God, Who has separated you from the (other) peoples. 25. You shall distinguish between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean. You shall make your souls detestable through an animal, and through a bird, and through anything with which the ground creeps that I have distinguished for you as unclean. 26. You shall be holy to Me because I, Hashem, am holy, and I have separated you from the (other) nations to serve before Me.[4] 27. And a man or a woman who will have in them bidin or bechuru[5] shall surely did. They shall pelt them with stones; they are liable to execution.
