Nedarim 7:8-9

Nedarim 7:8

If a man tells his wife, “Konam what you make, I will not eat until Passover” or “…I will not wear until Passover,” then whatever she makes before Passover he may eat or wear after Passover. “What you make before Passover I will not eat” or “…I will not wear,” then whatever she makes before Passover he may not eat or wear even after Passover.

Nedarim 7:9

If he says, “Konam that you benefit from me until Passover if you go to your father’s house before Succos” and she goes there before Passover, then she may not benefit from him until Passover. If she goes after Passover, she breaks the vow because she retroactively prohibited benefit upon herself. If the husband says, “Konam that you benefit from me until Succos if you go to your father’s house before Passover,” and she goes there before Passover, then she may not benefit from him until Succos. After Passover, she is permitted to go.
