2,248. The Conduct of Egypt
Hilchos Issurei Biah 21:8
Intimate relations between women are prohibited. This is the conduct of Egypt about which we were cautioned in Leviticus 18:3, “Do not follow the conduct of Egypt.” The Sages explained that one man would marry another, one woman would marry another, and one woman would marry two men. While prohibited, lashes are not administered because it’s not an explicit prohibition and there is no intercourse involved. Therefore, women with such a history are not prohibited to marry kohanim, nor is a woman rendered prohibited to her husband because of this because it’s not considered promiscuity. Nevertheless, they should be given stripes for acting rebelliously because they violated a prohibition. A man should prevent his wife from socializing with women who are known to engage in this activity.
Hilchos Issurei Biah 21:9
Since a man’s wife is permitted to him, he may do whatever he wishes with her (with her consent). He may be intimate with her whenever he likes, kiss any part of her, engage in “regular” or “irregular” intercourse with her, or be physically intimate without relations, so long as it doesn’t lead to a wasteful emission. However, the pious manner is not to treat such things lightly and to sanctify oneself at the time of marital intimacy. This was explained in Hilchos Deios: one should not depart from the usual manner of the world and this was exclusively for reproduction.
