2,192. Defining the Nature of the Damage

Hilchos Issurei Biah 16:3

“Crushed testes” means one whose testicles have been injured. “Severed male member” means one whose organ has been cut off. There are three places in which wounds can disqualify a man from the general marriage pool: the organ, the testes and the vas deferens. If one of these is injured or crushed, the man may not marry in.

Hilchos Issurei Biah 16:4

If the male organ is injured, crushed or severed at or above the tip, the man is disqualified. If a piece at the end of the tip is severed but even a hair’s width of it remains surrounding the entire member, he may marry in. If the member was cut above the tip in the way that a quill is sharpened or like a funnel, he may marry in.
