2,174. Mamzeirus

Hilchos Issurei Biah 14:19

Freed servants are like converts; all relationships prohibited to converts are prohibited to freed servants and all relationships permitted to converts are permitted to freed servants. One may give his female servant as a mate to his own servant or to a servant belonging to someone else; he may even give one female servant to two male servants. They have no rules in this matter, like animals. It makes no difference whether a female servant was designated for a male servant because the concept of marriage only applies among Jews or among non-Jews but not among servants or between servants and Jews.

Hilchos Issurei Biah 15:1

A mamzer is a person born from a prohibited relationship. This does not include a niddah, whose offspring has a spiritual taint but is not a mamzer. When a man engages in any other prohibited relations – whether willingly or forcibly, aware of the prohibition or unaware – the offspring is a mamzer. Neither a male nor a female mamzer may enter the general marriage pool as is explicit in Deuteronomy 23:3. “Even to the tenth generation” means that this is an eternal prohibition.
