2,143. Intermarriage
Hilchos Issurei Biah 11:19
A woman who is a niddah may perform any task that a wife normally performs for her husband except for washing his face, hands and feet, pouring his drink and making his bed in front of him. These are intimate acts so they were prohibited to keep them from coming to sin. This is also why they may not eat from the same plate or touch one another. A woman may likewise not perform these three tasks for her husband during her seven clean days. A woman may beautify herself during her niddah days so that she not be unattractive to her husband.
Hilchos Issurei Biah 12:1
If a Jewish man engages in intimacy with a non-Jewish woman as his wife, or if a Jewish woman is intimate with a non-Jewish man as his wife, they are punished with lashes. This is Biblical law as per Deuteronomy 7:3, “Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughter to his son, and do not take his daughter for your son.” This applies both to the seven Canaanite nations and to all other non-Jews. Nehemiah 10:31 says, “We won’t give our daughters to the people of the land and we won’t take their daughters for our sons.”
