2,066. A Naarah
Hilchos Issurei Biah 5:19
Continuing the discussion of hymeneal blood, let’s say that a girl married while a naarah, i.e., between the ages of 12 and 12½. If she never menstruated before, she remains permitted to her husband for four days, both day and night, even if blood is still flowing so long as the wound hasn’t healed. If she already menstruated while living in her father’s home and subsequently married, then her husband may not engage in relations with her after the first time; rather, they must separate. In this case, the hymeneal blood is considered like the start of menstruation. A girl who has reached the age of majority and never menstruated is given the entire first night.
Hilchos Issurei Biah 5:20
The four nights that are given to a naarah who has never menstruated are not necessarily consecutive. Rather, the couple may engage in intimacy on the first night and then wait even two or three months to be intimate on a second night so long as the wound has not yet healed.
