2,064. Other Discharges

Hilchos Issurei Biah 5:15

If a woman discharges something that resembles a locust, a fish, or a swarming or creeping creature, if it is accompanied by blood, the woman is rendered ritually unclean; if such is not the case, she remains ritually clean.

Hilchos Issurei Biah 5:16

If a woman places a tube in her “anteroom” and discharges blood through it, she remains ritually clean because Leviticus 15:19 specifies “a discharge of blood in her flesh,” i.e., it must be in her flesh, which is the normal way for women to menstruate. Discharging blood through a tube is not the normal order of things.
