1,771. Splitting the Testimony About Written and Signed
Hilchos Geirushin 7:15
The previous halacha (about two agents delivering a get) applies when both of them are in possession of the get; if such is not the case, they must state that it was written and signed in their presence. Therefore, if one agent says that the get was written in his presence and the other says that it was signed in his presence, or if they both say that it was written in their presence but only one says that it was signed in his presence – in all of these cases, since the get isn’t in both of their possession, it shouldn’t be delivered until the signatures have been validated.
Hilchos Geirushin 7:16
If one person says that a get was written in his presence and two others say that it was signed in their presence, the get is valid. This is true even when the get is not in their possession because the signatures have been validated.
