1,723. An Identifiable Sign in a Get
Hilchos Geirushin 3:11
If the witnesses knew of a recognizable sign by which they could identify the get, such as if they said that the get had a hole next to a certain letter or that they only signed one get with those names, then we assume that the found get is the one that was lost and it may be used. This is so even if the get is found long after it was lost, in a place where caravans travel, when there are known to be two local men with the same name.
Hilchos Geirushin 3:12
Let’s say that two men (with the same name) both sent gets but they got mixed up. In such a case, each get should be given to each woman in front of witnesses. If one of these gets becomes lost, the other one is invalid.
