1,656. Transferring Melug From Wife to Husband

Hilchos Ishus 22:16

If a husband sells movable “iron sheep” property, even though he is not permitted to make such a sale, it is binding. If they both sell “melug” property, the sale is binding regardless of whether the buyer bought from the husband first and then from the wife or vice versa.

Hilchos Ishus 22:17

Similarly, if a woman sells her melug property to her husband or gives it to him as a gift, the transfer of the property is binding. The wife cannot later claim that she only did it in order to appease her husband, though she may make such a claim when it comes to other types of property.
