May two brothers or a father and a son be called up for an Aliya to the Torah one after another?

According to the letter of the law, a father and son or two brothers may be called to the Torah in sequence of each other. Nonetheless, the Shulchan Aruch (141.6) says not to do so because of ayin harah (the jaundiced eye of a jealous person who may be jealous of multiple Aliyos given to one family). However, if the father and son or two brothers were accidentally called for Aliyos in sequence, they should acquiesce, as it is inappropriate to not accept an Aliya.
