1,494. Annulling Vows and Fixing Blemishes
Hilchos Ishus 7:8
If a man consecrates a woman without making any conditions and it is subsequently found that the woman has one of the aforementioned disqualifying blemishes or she is bound by one of the aforementioned vows, then there is a doubt as to whether marriage has been effected. If he consecrated her on the condition that she wasn’t bound by vows and she was, but she then went to a Torah scholar who annulled her vows, then marriage is effected.
Hilchos Ishus 7:9
If a man consecrates a woman on the condition that she doesn’t have any blemishes and she does, marriage is not effected even if she goes to a doctor who heals her. However, when a couple marries on the condition that the man is not bound by any vows or that he doesn’t have any blemishes but he is bound by vows or has blemishes, if he goes to a Torah scholar who annuls his vows or a doctor who heals him, marriage is effected. This is because women do not generally object to such things once they have been healed.
