Bamidbar 5779

Ramban provides three reasons for why Bnei Yisrael are counted at the beginning of Sefer Bamidbar: To prepare for their entry to the Land of Israel, for Bnei Yisrael to appreciate Hashem's kindness in making Bnei Yisrael numerous, even in the wake of Chet HaEgel. It provided the opportunity for each person to have a personal encounter with Moshe and Aharon.

Ktav VeHakabalah: The Torah says:

וכלה אהרן ובניו לכסות את הקדש ואת כל כלי הקדש בנסע המחנה ואחרי כן יבאו בני קהת לשאת ולא יגעו אל הקדש ומתו אלה משא בני קהת באהל מועד - ד:יד

The Kohanim disassemble and cover its components and only then (ואחרי כן) the Leviim carry the Mishkan. Why does it say ואחרי כן as opposed to אחרי כן without the vav?

The Yerushalmi says one should always start and end with something positive: If so, why did Chazal end some parshiyot on a negative note (e.g. במדבר, קדושים, בלק)? The connection to הוי מקדים שלום לכל אדם.

The name Yerushalayim as a hybrid of the name given to it by מלכיצדק and the name given to it by Avraham (שלם and ה' יראה) and it's identity as city of צדק and שלום.
