Eruvin Made Easy - Part 13: Going to a Hotel for Shavuos

The mechaber says that if a person owns multiple houses in a chatzer that he rents out to different people and each house has items owned by the landlord, the renters attain the status of guests. How does this apply to guests staying at a hotel for Shabbos? Do Jewish guests have to acquire rights to the hotel in order to be able to carry beyond their rooms?
