"מה עניין שמיטה אצל הר סיני"

Rashi says that Har Sinai is mentioned by Shemitta to teach that just as Shemitta was transmitted with all it's details at Har Sinai so were all the mitzvot. That begs the question - of all the mitzvot, why Shemitta?

"וכי תאמרו מה נאכל בשנה השביעית...וצויתי את ברכתי לכם בשנה השישית ועשת את התבואה לשלש השנים"

Why does the Torah uncharacteristically use the question-answer format, plus, the previous pasuk answered the question before the Torah presented the question! An answer from the Noam Elimelech.

The mitzvah to count towards יובל is incumbent on the nation (via Beit Din) and is phrased in the singular ("וספרת לך") whereas Sefirat HaOmer is incumbent on the individual and is phrased in the plural ("וספרתם לכם"). The Gra explains why the Torah addresses Bnei Yisrael in the singular vs. in the plural (in general).
