722. Smearing on Yom Tov

98:23 When baking pastry on yom tov, we may not make pictures of it with a mold or by hand in order to make shapes like birds or other things from the dough.

98:24 Smearing is prohibited on yom tov just as it is on Shabbos. Therefore, we may not warm a candle in order to make it stick to the candlestick or to the wall. If the opening of the candlestick is full of wax, one may clean it out using something that isn't muktzeh.
