724. Kashering Utensils on Yom Tov

98:27 On yom tov, we don't kasher forbidden utensils by boiling or heating. (One may use fire to purge a spit that was used to roast unsalted meat that he now wishes to use on yom tov – Rema 509:5.) The laws of immersing utensils on yom tov are discussed above, in chapter 37. 98:28 The law of washing dishes on yom tov is the same as on Shabbos (discussed earlier, in 80:26). We are not permitted to wash dishes on the first day of yom tov for use on the second day.
