778. More About Drawing the Water
109:3 One may draw enough water for several days at once but it is a mitzvah to draw for each day by itself. The accepted practice is to not draw water using an old pottery vessel - even if it's designated exclusively for Pesach use - unless it's glazed. An old pottery vessel that is not glazed is not considered appropriate for this mitzvah and one should not disregard this custom.
109:4 During the month of Nisan, streams are generally cooler than wells, therefore one should draw water from a stream. However, sometimes the streams are swollen because of all the snow that has melted and they are not so cold. In such a case, it is preferable to draw water from the wells.
