Why does the Torah goes out of its way to detail all the materials used in constructing the Mishkan - the Mishkan was only temporary! Just as the Mishkan was portable, we are meant to seek out Hashem wherever we go; we should always be searching out Hashem: איה מקום כבודו.

Seeking Hashem is not about the destination, it's about the journey. We don't find God by staying in our comfort zone.
