Just like planting grains/seeds in a קרפף removes it from being מוקף לשם דירה so too does planting grains/seeds in a חצר (e.g. a garden) removes it from being enclosed for dwelling purposes.

Carrying within an enclosed garden or from the garden into the adjacent house (larger than בית סאתיים vs. smaller than בית סאתיים).
