Chavakuk #8 (Chapter Three)

Chana and Chavakuk's declarations are both described as תפילה. When Chana davened (the second time) she was not asking for anything, the content is Nevuah only. Chavakuk's is also called a תפילה but he does make a request of God at the beginning.

The Malbim describes the last section of Chavakuk's תפילה as describing difficult times in which there will be both a religious war and general oppression to force Bnei Yisrael to leave the Land of Israel. The greater the hardships, the closer the arrival of the גאולה.
