Chavakuk #7 (Chapter Three)

In the third chapter of Chavakuk he apologizes to God for questioning His ways. He accepts God's ways but asks God to keep them alive even during dark times when God doesn't make Himself known and to have mercy during times of anger (when Bnei Yisrael are in exile as a result of sin).

The Malbim discusses the parallel between Chavakuk's description of Matan Torah and the opening of VeZot HaBracha. A contrast forms between hester panim of exile and God's overt revelation at Har Sinai.
