Yosef and his Brothers: The Tables are Turned

Why does Yosef act towards his brothers in the way he does? The brothers react not by accusing the ruler of persecuting them but with self-reflection.

The Ramban explains that Yosef puts his brothers through the entire ordeal in order to ensure that the dreams are fulfilled.

Rav Yaakov Kamenetsky: Why does Yosef take upon himself the onus of making sure the dreams are fulfilled? Is that a reason not to send a postcard to his father?

Yosef has no idea what is going on at home and what the brothers told Yaakov. He is afraid revealing himself right away could shatter the family. He felt this all happened because he spoke too much (e.g. revealing his dreams) and decides not to say anything until he knows it won't cause a rupture in the family. Rachel, Shaul, and Esther (all from the lineage of Rachel Imeinu) do the same.
