1,126. Using Chometz Utensils on Pesach

Chometz u’Matzah 5:21

Earthenware vessels that were used for cold chometz products may also be used for cold matzah products except for those that held yeast or charoses because they have a strong leavening ability. A trough in which chometz was kneaded and then left to leaven is considered the same as a vessel in which yeast was soaked and it may not be used on Passover.

Chometz u’Matzah 5:22

An earthenware roasting pan on which chometz loaves are baked during the year may not be used to bake matzah on Passover. If the pan was filled with coals and lit where the chometz was made, then matzah may be made on it.
