Daniel was told that he was not going to live to see his prophecies come to pass but earlier in this chapter (verses 2-3), he foretold the future resurrection of the dead. Rashi tells us that the phrase “arise for your lot” refers to the portion reserved for the righteous. This is described in verse 3 as shining like the stars of Heaven forever.
