1,115. Chometz Unfit to Feed to a Dog

Chometz u’Matzah 4:11

Actual bread that has become moldy so that it is no longer fit to be eaten by a dog and a compress that has spoiled need not be destroyed. If clothes were laundered with starch or papers were stuck together using chometz, they may be retained over Passover; the same is true in similar cases. Possessing them does not violate the prohibitions against seeing and possessing chometz because they are no longer in the form of chometz.

Chometz u’Matzah 4:12

Something that is not normally eaten by people into which chometz has been mixed may be kept over Passover but it may not be eaten until after Passover. Even if it only contains a minute amount of chometz, eating it is prohibited.
