Isaiah 54:9

This is like the waters of Noah to Me; as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will not go over the earth again, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

What, exactly, is "like the water of Noah?" The Metzudas David explains that G-d is saying here that His wrath is like the flood that He brought in the days of Noah. Just as He promised mankind never to do that again, here He promises to likewise withhold His anger from us.
