1,053. Borrowing for Yom Tov
Shvisas Yom Tov 5:17
Let’s say that on the day before yom tov, a person gets his friend’s permission to borrow some object. In such a case, the yom tov boundary is that of the borrower even though he may not have acquired the object until after yom tov began. If a person borrows something on yom tov, its boundary is that of the owner. This is so even if this person regularly borrows this item on yom tov.
Shvisas Yom Tov 5:18
If two people both borrow the same cloak, one for the morning and the other for the afternoon, the yom tov boundary of the cloak reflects those of both borrowers. It may only be brought to a place that is permitted to both of them.
