One who hangs a curtain or similar such things must be careful not to create a tent in the attempt. Therefore, a large curtain must only be hung by two people and not by one person. A canopy that has a roof may not be set up even by ten people because it is impossible that it will not be raised a little above the ground, forming a temporary tent.

Shabbos 22:33

One who covers a pitcher with a cloth may not cover it entirely because this is considered making a tent. Rather, one must cover just part of the opening. One who filters through a woven basket may not hold it so that the bottom of the basket is over the vessel because that would be creating a temporary tent.
