765. Transporting Half the Volume of an Item Twice

Shabbos 18:24

Let’s say that a person transports half the designated size of a thing and he then transports another half of the designated size of that thing to the same domain. If he transported both in the same state of unawareness, he is liable. But what if he transported the two halves to two different domains? Then, if there is a domain into which one would be liable for transporting in-between the two domains, he is not liable. If there is a carmelis in-between the domains, they are considered a single domain and the one who transported the two halves would be liable.

Shabbos 18:25

If a person transports less than the designated size of a thing but, before he puts it down, the thing increases in size until it becomes the designated size, he is not liable. Similarly, one is not liable if one transports more than the designated size of a thing but, before he puts it down, the thing decreases in size until it is smaller than the designated size.
