656. Spinning

A person is liable for spinning a thread four handbreadths in length from any fiber that is used to spin thread, including wool, linen, goat hair, sinew and other such fibers. One who makes felt is liable for performing a subordinate labor of spinning if he made it from fibers that could have be used to spin a thread of regular thickness four handbreadths in length.
Shabbos 9:16
One is liable for setting two heddles of a loom. Making a sifter, a strainer, a basket, a hairnet, or weaving a rope bed is a subordinate labor of setting heddles. A person would be liable for making two frames of any of these. One is liable for making two frames of anything that is built frame by frame in this manner.
