536. Brachos on Flowers
Brachos 9:6
Perennial flowering plants, like anemones and lavender, take the bracha for fragrant trees. If lilies were grown in a garden, they take the bracha for fragrant trees; if they grew in the field, they take the bracha for fragrant herbs. The bracha for fragrant trees is recited on roses, rose water and frankincense.
Brachos 9:7
A bracha is not recited over a fragrance that is forbidden, that is used as a deodorant, or that was not prepared with the intention that it would be smelled.
