516. Not Touching the Bread
Brachos 6:17
One may wash his hands in the morning stipulating a condition that it be effective for the entire day. If he does this, he need not wash his hands each time he eats. This only applies when one does not divert his attention from his hands; if he does divert his attention, then he must wash whenever necessary.
Brachos 6:18
One may wrap his hands in a cloth and eat bread or food that was dipped in a liquid without washing his hands. One who feeds others need not wash his hands; the one who eats must wash his hands even though someone else is putting the food into his mouth and he doesn’t even touch it. Similarly, one who eats with a fork and does not touch the food must still wash his hands.
