Sheviis 5:5-6
Sheviis 5:5
Rabbi Yehuda says one may purchase unearthed onions immediately in the eighth year (i.e., the year after the sabbatical) but the Sages say he must wait until the new crop increases (after Passover).
Sheviis 5:6
A craftsman may not sell the following tools in the sabbatical year: a plow and its accessories; a yoke; a winnower; a pick. He may sell a sickle, a scythe, and a wagon with its accessories. The general rule is that anything used exclusively for labor prohibited in the sabbatical year may not be sold, but something with prohibited and permitted uses may be sold.
