Mishna Yomit - New Cycle Starts March 30!
The OU's Mishna Yomit program will start a new cycle on March 30, 2016. With Mishna Yomit, listeners can learn two mishnayos a day and complete all of Shas Mishnayos in a little under six years.
In the previous cycle, Mishna Yomit offered a daily audio shiur delivered by an educator, usually from OU Torah or another division of the OU, including OU Kosher, NCSY, JLIC, NextGen, and more. Some of the many, many lecturers have included Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, Rabbi Yosef Grossman, Rabbi David Felsenthal, Rabbi Micah Greenland, Rabbi Akiva Tendler, Rabbi Zvi Nussbaum, Rabbi Jay Goldberg, Rabbi David Pardo, Rabbi Aaron Greenberg, and many others too numerous to name. In addition to the audio shiur, Mishna Yomit provided the text of the Mishna and the commentary of the Bertinuro in Hebrew.
For the upcoming cycle, Mishna Yomit is providing even more, including:
- The Mishna Yomit Companion - an English-language synopsis of each day's mishnayos by OU Torah Editor Rabbi Jack Abramowitz, patterned after his popular Nach Yomi Companion and Shnayim Mikra Companion synopses;
- A daily Mishna Yomit email (subscribe here);
- A downloadable calendar of the six-year cycle (here).
Mishna Yomit isn't just for those who want to learn their way through the entire Mishna - it's an invaluable resource for anyone who wants to learn mishnayos, including for a shloshim.
